Thank you very much for the idea...Our religion is so misunderstood and twisted in the media that when I heard the NPR report on "Just Ask A Mexican", I couldn't help but say: "JUST ASK A MUSLIM" PLEASE!!! We have so many people speaking for us that we hardly get to express ourselves to the world. It seems that the only news that is worthy to be called news, is bad news about bad guys (a lot of times you don't even have to be a "bad guy" to be portrayed as bad...you just have to be different). I was so happy to see your post...and I hope that people can get a little better idea of Islam and what it means to be a Muslim living in today's world.

  1. So, how does one keep from feeling robotic doing the same prayers 5 times a day in foreign language one doesnt connect with at all? This is my problem, as well as the fact of there being so many "rules" in the prayer and so many little things that could invalidate it- i was confused because i thought it was all about our intentions, not the technical logistics of a particular motion or phrase during a prayer. what do u think?
