My Inspiration
This was a blog that I posted in 2006 in response to the columnist who writes "Just Ask A Mexican" his name is Gustavo Arellano. This is where I got my inspiration :)
Thank you very much for the idea...Our religion is so misunderstood and twisted in the media that when I heard the NPR report on "Just Ask A Mexican", I couldn't help but say: "JUST ASK A MUSLIM" PLEASE!!! We have so many people speaking for us that we hardly get to express ourselves to the world. It seems that the only news that is worthy to be called news, is bad news about bad guys (a lot of times you don't even have to be a "bad guy" to be portrayed as bad...you just have to be different). I was so happy to see your post...and I hope that people can get a little better idea of Islam and what it means to be a Muslim living in today's world.
